it has been shown to work. read the disclaimers though. Beerman's worked hard on it and made a couple of tweaks along the way.

Awsome I am only confused about one thing it says the teal colored piece for the ports needs to be 5.75" long when I read to the left of that it says that the port length is 9",whats that all about?

i believe they are talking about the effective port lenght, what the woofers see.
the effective port lentgh is actal port length, 6.5 in this case plus half the port width which yeilds 9 inches.
from what i've read you do this because one of the port walls is shared with the rest of the box.

i believe it's called end correction. you can see it illustrated in the box plans sticky of moe's work. The calc you used was designed as a starting point using minimal airspace, not necessarily to be used as an optimal enclosure.
I'd give the calc 1/2 width dimensions and 1/2 subs and make a split chamber box by flipping the design over and making a center divider.(and take 3/4" off if you only have 1 divider panel)
