lol man i just bought my new mids too. oh well maybe i'll find $60 or somewhere so i cuold play with the rs180. any idea how the mounting depth on these? i'm guessing it would the be the mounting depth of the regular rs' debucked which is roughly 2 7/8".

does anyone know if thier going to make a 5in driver also. A 61/2's hard to fit in a focus kick panel area! I have a CDT es/hd-300 passive crossover set, should be about perfect.

i kind of doubt it.
the 6" would probably be your best bet
and it is only 5 15/16" outside so it might work.

it is hard for us to know since we dont know what depth you have to use.
i would guess you can get atleast the 6" in there with some spacers.
but i make no promises :)

great speakers...the Daytons are

before this year Parts Express only sold the 8 ohm versions of these. Their new 4 ohm drivers are better for vehicle applications and are debucked ;)

7" drivers

Magick...you read my short review?

~Magick_Man~
02-13-2006, 03:21 PM
yeah i saw it, i am wondering if i should keep the hd mids or change them out
ill probably keep the cdt for now atleast since i am getting sone aurum cantus g2si ribbons and they want to crossover at 2500
and i have heard the daytons should crossover at 2k or lower to avoid cone break up.
i am not sure if that applies to these new ones or not.

Just ordered 4-7's and 2-8s. Plan on using the 4 7s in the front doors of the Focus along with a dome mid and tweet in each a-piller. The 8s are going in the rear quarter panels sealed enclosures. Should be hear Friday!! New toys
