I found a pair of ribbon tweeters pretty cheep on ebay and I was just wondering what they sound like and what the difference between a regular tweeter would be. The ones I am looking at are Fountek JP-3.

I was wondering the same thing too, actually.
Parts express sells ribbon tweets too.

There's not many ribbon users on this forum. You'll get a better response on www.diymobileaudio.com.

I've heard the fountek neo3's..in car...in a 4th gen maxima...i'd say a great budget ribbon..
Ribbons are a sweet surprise, very delicate, smooth and pretty sound....gotta love the fact you can replace the ribbon element with some reynolds if you'd like and keep'm sounding new..
