Hey guys I just bought a bunch of drivers and im about to build a set of bookshelf's and im wondering what a good amp would be to power them. I dont really want to spend much more than $100.

I only bought all those tweeters because they were so cheep im still not sure if those are even the ones im going to use, but if you guys could recomend an amp that would be great!

I say this because the RS5 is a nice cone, and putting it with a useless tweeter is just what it is: useless.

haha they were 20cents thats why I bought them what tweeter would you go with?

I'd use the 27tg vifa tweet or a nice morel. Some people don't like morel tweets, but I think they are very airy.

haha I found some but the are a little more than I really want to spend... got anything you could recomend in like the 10$ range?

If you're not afraid to break out the soldering iron, for only $40 more you could get something like this :)

1. Expensive is a relative term :)

2. The simple answer is transformers. Since they can make or break the amp's sound, the majority of the cost of a good amp is invested in the iron. By far, they're the most costly part of any project involving tubes.

**** you Guys are useless for help... i got a tang band tweet for my project, it was around 16 @PE DONT CHEAP OUT ON THE TWEETS, THEY ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE PROJECT.


as far as an amp..your not gonna find much in that price range, i would surf ebay if i was you..mabye youll get lucky

Whats a good brand for an amp? I was looking at Hafler and Samson rack amps are those any good?
