ALPINE cda-9855

I was planning on getting the alpine-9855 headunit. any one know of any major problems with this unit? I personally heard the glidetouch control is hard to use while driving...any one ever use this unit? also I heard an ipod interface is hard to function with the glidetouch system. I would appreciate your guys comments or suggestions before I spend a couple hundred on a new reciever.
