I need to build a box thats smaller than this this, but is still around 1 cub foot of airspace. The sub is 6" deep. that box is 6" all the way up, around 22 inches wide, and I believe 18" or so inches tall. I need a wedge so the passenger seat can recline some more its a little uncomfortable over there right now. I am using a sealed box, dont think I have enough room for a port. Can anyone help me make a smaller box that still get loud?

i hope thats more than 18inches tall cuz that hump in my dakota in like 16inches and thats how tall my boxes are, which massive sub is that

u want a wedge box?

glass a box, to the shape of the truck, you could make it smaller, with enough air space.

Its the Performance Series Stage 2. PW12 as its mostly called. Ok I just measured and the box is 22 inches tall.

this is what i would do, sell the sub and upgrade to the cw12 i think thats the 600wrms one, get the massive p500.1, ditch the center seat and console and mount your amp on the floor, and put the sub in the middle so you dont have to worry about the sub hitting the back of the seat, and build a box thats the legnth for your cabin and port it @ 35hz

massive subs are great subs!

I have to keep the stuff I have.I am happy with my sub and amp I just need a better box to make the passanger seat more comfortable. I could buy a normal truck box but I dont think it would sound that good? I think I could take the center console out and then make the box start there and wrap out to the passenger side, with the sub facing sideways. Does that make sense?

yeah take out the console gives you alot more room, if why care about the passener seat. you dont seat there

Because I dont want the passengers to be uncomfortable and Im tired of hearing people complain. I just found nice box design I think Im gonna try. Are Massive subs pretty good?

tell them to stfu and gtfo, theres always the bed or their feet one reason i took out my center seat was so that ppl cant sit in the middle cuz i had ridin with smeone in the middle of my truck, now its my re 35.1d, and it never complains about anything except maybe input voltage

What is gtfo? lol. I just feel bad sometimes..ohwell. I dont think I will have this setup long I think I am gonna go with like 4 RE 8s and about 500 watts eventually.

12-30-2005, 12:17 AM
get the f*ck out

4 RE8s would be cool also, actualy id go wit ss rl-i 8s and like a 1-1.2kw amp

Who knows. Im broke right now lol. is that your sub in your sig? its goin at it haha

12-30-2005, 12:50 AM
yeah both of them in a 98 reg cab dakota both in 2+cubes ported

12-30-2005, 12:52 AM
How did you get a box that big back there? Pics? those on your page dont work. Im curious

12-30-2005, 12:54 AM
yeah i dunno wtf happened, none of my pix worked anymore, but i dont have any new ones anyways, i took out the center seat and console put the amp between the seats on the floor, pretty much what i suggested earlier. and dakota is a bigger truck than a ranger, plus i sacrificed leg room which i still have enough, like a couple inches before my knees hit the dash.

Dang your seat is far up. I have a 5 speed so I gotta have more room than that lol. Ill just leave it alone my seat has plenty of room, eff the others.
