those rs180s only handle like 60watts rms im have 200watts/channel amp with those being 8 ohmms tha will cut my power down to 100watts will those speakers be able to handle that power and will they be just as loud as my cdt-hds are now off 200 watts? and also where do i find those tweets(seas 27tdfc)

check the sig, that's what i chose. but i haven't gotten them installed yet. gimme a few weeksyou had those same cdt`s too didn`t you? and how much power was yuo putting to them? you think this setup your installing will out perform the cdts? in power output and sq?

they can handle way more than the rated 60w as i've been told(more like 150w i'll be sending 125w) and don't pay mind to the resistance too much. check out www.diymobileaudio.com for some good reads on active(lots of good reads). seas are on www.madisound.com .

yup had the same set and i'm hoping and believe that it should out do the cdt's in every way.

do you want large format tweets or small format ones?

LPG has a small format tweeter thats supposed to be pretty good...and the Dayton's will be fine off of the 100 watts. Large format tweeters usually play lower in most cases than smaller ones so you can match it better with the driver of your choice. With the Dayton you'd pry need a larger format tweet like this one, http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?cart_id=3431965.14469&pid=1002

http://zaphaudio.com/6.5test/ ......mid comparisons

id get the extremis or the Dayton if i were you. and then the tweeter of your choice.

extremis:http://www.acoustic-visions.com/~acoustic/products/subwoofer_drivers/adire_extremis/index.shtml

or maybe a three way with the extremis and the css FR125 or the WR125 and then the LPG tweeter.

LPG tweeter: http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?cart_id=3431965.14469&pid=635

maybe go over to the diy mobile forum and look around a bit: http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/index.php?

I know ohms law and the more resistance you add to a circuit it cuts the amperage which cuts the power

Was blown away by the freq responce of my PG X6.5s. I'm using the 3way mode on my Eclipse CD8455, so I'm active as well. The freq resp was **** near flat. The mid is getting around 125w and the tweet about 65w

O k guys heres what I`m going with for my front stage active setup: for the mids DaytonRs180s runnig them off a A404 bridged to 200watts/4ohms which should give it 100watts/8hms, now for the tweets some LPGs 25NFAs powered by a A-600 giving it 75watts @ 8ohms ..not sure where I~m going to x-over the mids on the low end yet,but the tweets will be x-overed @ 3.5khz I`m probably looking @ 55hz for the low end on the Mids...any suggestions Guys?

do you have a sub? cuz if you do you should x-over your sub around that range and have your mids pick up at maybe 80 hz and up.

wow you will be giving the lpg's 75 watts. that will be pretty loud. i mean i'm giving mine ~42.5 watts and it gets pretty loud. i'd like to hear what you have to say when giving them 75 watts.

actually i was running the SLC tweets for a bit and changed over to the lpg's and definately the rainbow tweet was smooth but not as detailed as the lpg. i love the lpg's and they sound great. i have them crossed at 3.15khz with a 24db slope.
