PVC vs. Precision

is there any huge difference in using PVC as opposed to using aeroports, such as precision ports?

dont know about a huge difference. but id use an aeroport over normal pvc in a heartbeat...

i wish you could find the precision ends that you could put on pvc. because aeroports are too short for what i need them for and im not about to drop 50 or 60 bucks just for the ends of the ports

we did a direct swap out from pvc ports to aero's the exact same length, same diameter, everything, and on the Termlab we saw 2db gain from a single 12 off a 2500d in a CRX. just an FYI

i wonder if it was just the flanged ends?

it was with an H2 12 if it really matters.

the flared ends reduce port turbulence by a huge amount iirc

i though areo ports have differnt end vent corection then a regular PCV vent of the same length. also BBP6 has differnt formulas for this. flared VS regualare PVC will always be diffent in legnth. the 2dB gain u notice may have been cause the box was tuned a big higher
