glass short cut....

if i need the shape of the underlying support of my rear deck, can i use a couple layers of woven clothe to get the shape? will that be strong enough to pull out and use to put more matt in outside the car?

not gunna be upside down : ) i plan on removing the rear deck and doing it in the car. thats IF i do it. shop may be held responsible for the box making/install.
