I'm fiberglassing a shape over a plastic doorpanel. The painter's tape won't stick to the door panel. Will several layers of masking tape working instead? Need this quick, I'm starting my project in about 20 minutes :-)

Thanks

Either will work. Make sure the surface isn't waxy, clean and dry.

Also make sure it a gooood brand. I tried some cheapstuff, and it barely lasted. Scrapped the whole thing.

just make sure you rub a bit of wax OVER the tape so the mould can realease, not a ton tho :)

Duct tape will be about your only option sticking to ABS. I have yet to find any masking tape that will no matter how clean it is.

THe cooking spray might not work too well with the masking tape. I also tend to use alot of clear celophane (sp?) tape:)
