I usually try to bolt them in. Most of the time I pre plan mounting before I start glassing. That way I can glass a couple of washers in strategic mounting locations. Drill a hole, thn run a bolt from the back side into the kick and bolt it from the inside. :)

i got prefabbed q-logic kicks designed for a 1999 dakota. not a perfect fit (dash style changed in 2001) and i needed to fab some tabs on their backside. but overall they hold my RE comps well. they feel flimsy but i have no issues with them rattling.

^ well i thought they could handle 75 watts per channel... looking around now they were only rated for 50w. got another thread started on this, back to kool kickpanels.
