View Full Version : volume Q
ok, so my denon's volume is from -70 to 10, which i assume is 80 (total volume overall) this is what i calculated:
10% = 8
20%= 16
30%= 24
40%= 32
50%= 40
so, on the receiver:
10% of total volume = -62
20% of total volume= -54
30% '' '' '' = -46
40% '' '' '' = -38
50% '' '' = -30
am i right??

Close enough. Why are you trying to figure it out for every 10% ?

cause that's the only way i know how to calculate it. when i listen to music or watch movies, i don't wanna put my volume at more than 50%

That assumes that the volume control in linear. It may not be, it may be logarithmic
