They're not bad...I've auditioned a friend's system in his Explorer and they sound quite good. Very up front :)

I've heard that they share a similar sound to the RE RE components. If that's true they would make excellent budget components.

I prefer the RE mids, myself...but then again, they had twice the power going to them when I heard 'em :)

they sound pretty good, pretty smooth but there are just some acoustical notes that they could hit. Just from one install ive heard them from.
type-r tweets were harsh IMO.

hi not to be off topic but the woofers on the SPR 17LS and the 136A differ; the 136A looks better but does it sound better i got the 17LS. sounds okay but I need to deaden later on

The ones used in the Type X's are much better...if the choice to go DIY is available :up2somet:

I'm also interested in the Type R 6.5 components.. Do they sound better than the PG xenons ?

i'm gonna be getting a set of the SPR-17LS and was curious if the tweeter was able to be flush mounted. also would you recommend these for an active set up? anyone still running these?

just got mine delivered to my house bout 45 min. ago and yes they are flush mount...
