from what I hear, the REV series are some pretty darn good coaxials.

Although I have not heard the five-way, I can almost guarantee you, you do not need a freaking 5 way speaker. The REV series are awesome, some of the best coaxials i've heard, and I would have absolutley no problem running them throughout my entire car.

If run from the HU I would not waste money and time on components. Just get the coaxials and you should be happy.

the new pioneer comps were rated really crappy by caraudio magazine. they got a 26 out of a possible 50
and I too run a pioneer HU (P770MP) which I love.

Audio magazine reviews are just advertisements. When was the last time you have seen a review for a sub where they only recommended a medium sized ported box? Of course not. The normal consumer wants a small box ;)

yeah ... car audio magazine reviews generally ****...
i've heard LOTS of good thing about the REV series in general whether or not coax or component... i know the coax is generally considered famously good for the money.

I had experience with the REV component set... They were **** good for what I paid for them... $22.22 on ebay... A little harsh, but what do you expect for that price?

I have 2 yellow cone 6x9's for my rear deck... they lasted me about 2 weeks before they became static-y.
