Does this units come equipped with support for the OEM steering wheel remote? IF so how do you make them work... It doesn't say anything on eclipse's website.

Yes it does, check your owners manual. The brown and brown/white wire are used for steering controls.

I've heard that only Toyota vehicles are supported by the Eclipse steering wheel wires.

6spdcoupe, I see that you had a '03 accord like mine. Were you able to use the steering wheel controls with you Eclipse head unit?

With the AVNs the steering controls are plug&play. With the HUs the wires need to be connected to your steering controls if available in the car you own. Although theres not much support for knowing what the steering control wires are in the cars.

I ran my stock Navi through the Arc DXE in my AV6.

Im sorry but my headunit will not arrive until tomorrow, so how exactly will I wire my OEM 04 Accord steering wheel controls to the Eclipse headunit?

Connect the brown and brown/black wires to thier corisponding colors on the oem harness. In the manual, it tells you where to go on the Eclipse site to download the responces/demands for that particular vehicle, and download it to the memory stick then upload it to the HU.

Im not sure where you got this info, but it is incorrect. Not to mention the steering controls do Not work with all cars. Ive got some to work, and other not working. Then some only half working for the time being.

Could you tell me where/what page? Id like to do some reading myself. All that I have seen is where the steering wires are described. Nothing more.
