Alpine H/U Problem (9815) Please Help :(

Well...today has been a terrible day for me...it all started with my Alpine H/U taking a **** on me


I put in disc...it says ERROR...I eject it out and it wont take a disc....then after 20 seconds or so it starts to accept the cd....and it reads ERROR again


I tried many cds...its not the cds



what should I do?

I tried resetting it...but it still reads ERROR with or without the disc


the 9815 ejects the cd...it just reads error when it has a cd....when it ejects the cd I try to put another one in but it doesnt take it unless I either wait 20 seconds (it starts accepting the cd automatically) or if i press the eject button, it accepts.

try holding up Power/Source and quickly pressing Band/Tel... it will be prompted to erase EPROM, so you press button 1... you will hear 2 beeps...

after that disconnect it from the battery and give it a few seconds and then reconnect and turn the HU on... it will work as it was never used before

if it doesn't work seems like something's ****ed inside of it, take it to the assistance :(
