Would it be ok to use nails instead of screws cause my dumb *** uncle has my drill and i wont get it back till next weekend, i'm gonna use silicone on the inside to seal it even more.

nope, nails will split the board and they get pulled out. Wait for the drill or try to find one you could borrow.

I was thinking the same thing, nails would be easy...with a nail gun..it would take no time
