A few questions for a begginer in car audio

Hi, first of all let me introdice myself: My name is Pedro (peter), from Argentina and i'm kinda new with car audio.

Ive recently bough and installed myself a Pioneer DEH-3700 with 2 6x9 4-way Blueforce rear speakers.

I have sone questions:

1st: when i was checking for prices on head units some vendor told me that pioneer models 3700 & up coul read mp3 dvds, is this true?

2nd: my unit (as many others) ha a detachable front panel, i was wondering if taking out the front everytime you get out of the car couldn't be dangerous for the unit itself . I don't know if i have expressed correctly :( (english is not my mother tonge :P)

well it was designed to have the face plate removed everytime you leave so it shouldnt hurt it

thanks for the quick reply :) i guess i'll have to try burning some mp3s in a rw dvdand test if it was a lie from the vendor or not :)

Pedro, no creo que haya ningun problema quitando la cara de tu radio, es quitapon, ademas yo quito la cara de my radio varias veces al dia y jamas he tenido ningun problema, incluso a veces quito la car con el radio aun encendido..
