I robbed an old stereo cabinet of the horns today. Would these be worth a hoot in a car audio setting? I don't know the power handling of them but they are 8 ohm (actually 7)

Thought I'd try them out in my car.

They'll sound horrible.

Just to warn you.

:)

There is a reason car audio horns are shaped the way they are with the flare towards the middle of the car, etc etc.

Good info. If I found some horns to fit the driver for auto app. (say at parts express), would they work?

PE doesn't sell automotive-targeted horn bodies.

Only hope would be to find some used Image Dynamics horn bodies on ebay or the for sale forums. But then the chances are slim that those compression drivers would match up and mount very well with the horn bodies.

You would be better off just trying to figure out something to do with them in a home audio setup.
