Hey everyone..
It was just a couple of days ago that I decided that I would start building my box before I ordered off for my subwoofer and amp. I quickly PM'd Moe Lester for some box plans! He was VERY easy to work with and the communication was great. He answered all of my noobish questions too, but anyways back to the box. After Moe told me what what materials I would be needing.. I ran to my lumber yard and picked up a sheet of 4x8 3/4" MDF, some wood glue, 100% silicon sealant & black spray paint.

The next day, I woke up around 7:00 A.M and started cutting my peices ( I hope my neighbors don't hate).. Everything was looking good.. after I got it all together I decided to take another guy's advice off of CA.com and picked up some of that wal-mart automotive carpet.. it took two rolls but it looks great! The carpet on the edges kinda looked ****** at first.. so I went back to my lumber yard in search of something that could go around the edges.. I found this white moulding.. and it looks great..

I really wanted to take pics as I was building the box, but my dad needed our digital camera for a fish fry.. and my palm doesn't take good quality pictures at all =x

So heres some pics the day after.. :naughty:

nice idea with the corner molding but you should of angle cut them to run seemless instead of leaving the boxes of open space.

what do you mean? are you talking about the gap there is where they meet on the top? I was going to fix that.. :)

He is speaking the truth. Anyone, if they wanted, can find out where you live with just your plate number. I like the box though, it looks really good.

Wow. I wonder if they'd have any of those at a local audio shop? Or should I just order them from parts express..

Also.. I thought about spray painting some of the moulding.. either red or blue.. (a color to go along with the type r theme) wutcha guys think?

ok it looks nice but please get some more molding and rip that off and do it over so the top edges are 45degree angles and then do the side pieces so it looks good. sorry for the critism but i do alot of finished carpentry so it bug the hell out of me when i see bad molding work

can't see the pictures man.

I need some help designing my box and whatnot. I've got 3 JL 10W6s and a 1200 watt amp that are going into my standard cab '95 Ranger. any suggestions? haha. I was thinking one sub behind each seat, a sub kinda between the seats, and the amp below the sub in the middle..I dunno..I'll have to figure out how to draw it up on Paint or something and put it on here to show you what I'm talking about..
