So im about to up north a little to hear these guys, but i just want some input before i leave since i will mostly be hearing a demo cd or whatnot. reading about these speakers in this forum i kept on hearing that these show no mercy towards burned or bad quality recorded cd's? wow how much of that is true?

i have the slc's and i agree with chinny. they are awesome. and i think its a good thing that it exposes badly ripped cd's it just shows you how in depth the speakers are. for the price, its a great buy. i'd go for it.

I dont have the sound lines but the profi's and they are the best sounding speaker I have ever heard. I refuse to play burned CD's you def dont get the quality you get from a CD that was purchased at a store...

I could take this into consideration if you heard the
Dynaudio 220MKII
or the
Iridium 6.2

Semi-Auto,
This site has the new Rainbows, but you should be able to find a somewhat better price:
http://www.iqcaraudio.com/rainbow/profi_vanandium/index.htm
This site shows the older version, no longer available, but they can get the newer version:
http://www.speedsound.com/caraudio.asp?pg=products&specific=jncqdrdrc
Or you can check with an Alumapro dealer since Alumapro is now the distributor.
Here are a couple of posts on the Vanadium Kick Bass. There are a number of other posts, just search for "kick bass". There are also posts on the SLC speakers.

I was lucky enoughhto hear Skier's Profis , untuned in his car , and they sounded better than any Dynaudio speaker I have ever heard in a car .... and I have owned and heard LOTS of Dyns .....

Drawback is no warranty if bought online.
Who said that the iqcaraudiowebsite had the '05s? Looks like a generic picture with newer mids for everything they have.

I'm waiting to have my sets compared with those profis... lol :) -- I know mine will own them in terms of midbass... i mean the profis only have 4mm of xmax so says their pdf they yanked atleast... -- resolution too ;) -- at the least they have better resolution than some nice Paradigm Signature S8 home audio towers at $6k/set... and that is saying something -- the paradigms image a little better than the Dayton RS sets in my car though... but what do you expect :)... proper setup in home vs almost proper setup in the car.... with no damping in the doors...

so i got to listen to them and they were amazing when it came to bought cd's. very impressive. but then i pulled out some of my burned cd's, and not that they sounded horrible, but there were a lot of notes hidden, lets say. But these speakers just make me want to buy cds. thank you guys for the input on this thread.

yea i put in some old cd's that i burnt in like 2000 or 2001 and wow it sounded ******. mainly probably cuz they were bad quality downloads. but lately the songs i download have been pretty high quality and it sounds great. i hope you enjoy them if you decide to purchase them.
