I think you should look else where. They are very harsh.

well if they anything like thier coaxes, the highs are alright, but ZERO midbass

Perfects sound good. Not a bad price for the level of performance, and user friendliness (practically idiot-proof and car proof good sound).

Reference series aren't bad for their cheap price (or at least they didn't **** when I heard them last 10 years ago).

If you dig around the forums, you'll discover that there are some sleeper component sets out there that can provide very impressive sound quality with the right installation, for a pretty low price tag ($250 or less).

the infinity coaxs i had were pretty harsh and had absolutely no midbass.... they moved real well but you couldnt hear anything unless your ear was right up on them

No..actually they don't. For SPL purposes then yes more or less. But SQ Infinity rains down. My 12VQ kicked major *** and sounded amazing.

Must not have been their Perfect series subs. Man, those things reach way, way down to the abyss of audible bass. Extremely good SQ and output too. A pair of 10's ****** in my current SUV though (not enough umpf for the interior space), but man, in my X-Cab Tacoma, they were better than Boston Pro's over-all.

my infinity perfect subs get very loud

I think the subs are nice, but the coaxes/ comps ****. The tweeter is a harsh alum tweeter, that kills your ears.

the reason y i asked is that im lookin for a set of components that scream but yeat has great SQ midbass is much of a factor to me.....i have about 250 to spend and a jl 300/2 to power it....

The sound you get will depend greatly on the series (Reference, Kappa, or Perfect) and more-so the installation quality.

You may want to also look at the Phoenix Gold Xenon series. With power-handling of 150W RMS rated, they seem to be a great bang for the buck at under $150.

The CDT CL62a's on thezeb.com (the b-stock liquidation for $150 a set) would be hard to beat.
