I have used 3/4in mdf on all the boxes i haf made and it works good but it is hevey what can i use that is as strong or stronger then mdf but haf the wight the box will be for 2 L7 so Fiberglass wont work it will take to long :D

MDF is pretty light... only thing I can think of is going with thinner wood but I wouldnt recommend it.

you can build them out of fiber glass, is lighter and if built right stronger then mdf.

HDF may be stronger...but i dont think that would be anywhere lighter

he did, humm, you can use 1/2" mdf and brace it well, and it should give you the strength you need, but it will only be slightly lighter.
what size are the L7s?

my box will be 32wide 29long and 13high so fiberglass this mutch will not onely be a pain in the *** but coust a lot on the Powered4Soundforum they sed they redid there boxes with mdf light what is this I have the 04 12in models

birch ply is lighter and stronger.

with all the caraudio stuf in the back of my car waing in at over 150lbs and i still wont to mack the box biger i thought if i can mack it liter it will be beter
