I am going to be building my first ported enclosure. I need some designs, but currently have nothing in the PayPal account... If anyone would be willing to just draw me up a few quick plans for a box, I would appreciate it GREATLY.

The subs displacement is .25 cubes. I would like the box tuned to 38Hz, and would like it to be somewhere around 2.8 cubes net max. My max trunk dimensions are 20''L x 36"W x 18"H.

I owe anyone that does this, and will become a slave:yumyum:

It is my moms account, and since someone got into my eBay account, she is not letting me do any PayPal transactions for a while...

Design one yourself with an online calculator:

Supposed to be pretty accurate especially for how simple it is. There was a thead about its accuracy awhile back, the designer (beerman) even posted in it afew times. The thread can be seen here http://www.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=106001.

Well i went ahead a made a box for you in Bass Box Pro 6. I dont know how great it is as im still learning how to use bass box pro. But its free so what the hell.. Send me a pm if you want and ill give it to you..

Its a ported box tuned to 38.66Hz its 2.83 cu ft. After port displacement and sub displacement you are left with 2.457 cu ft of airspace. it fits within your dimensions and is designed with 3/4" MDF.

I am curious. Will the manufacture of subs no longer help out with Enclosure designs? When I was active in car audio, years ago, all I had to do was call them up and they were more than happy to help me work out a design to fit my needs and give advice on getting the most out of their product. I can't remember how many times I had plans faxed to me.

someone should create a tutorial for Bandpass Box 6 pro. Like the basics on what we need to know and to input for sealed and ported enclosures.

All the ones I've dealt with have had no problem with that.

Heres what I come up with...

If you do 15x21x18

Thats 3.3 Cube, after displactement of driver your down to ~3.0 Cube.

with a port of 13.5 High, 3 inchs wide, and 18.88 inchs long you'll be ~2.9 Cu Ft Net, tuned to 38 Hz.

Thats my calculations..

Okay guys here, this is from that box calculator. I am wondering about that violet piece, it measures .5" in lenght, is that needed?... Seems like it wont do much for the tuning.

how does a port that size only equal 0.1 cu ft... and what sub displaces .3 cubes?

@ tony, i wouldnt bother with the 1/2" piece.. its not going to make any real noticable difference.

Okay, I didnt think so. I just got most of the pieces cut out at Home Depot, mainly so the 4 x 8 would fit into the car. But I had the guy cut out the .5" piece anyway lol, he had a little difficulty with that one:p:

Moe, since you are like.. The box man, you wanna check that for me really fast and see if it comes out close to 40Hz? My sub is .25 cubes by the way... (if its not too much trouble)
