okay so i thought to myself, yeah, infinity, trusted brand name, good stuff. yeah great highs, NO FREAKIN BASS! so now i need to replace my 61/2 componants cuz these reference speakers ****. so recomendations for a budget componant set with good bass?

you could go CDT CL-61. thay go for about 150. or EF-61CF(i) for a bit more.
you could talk to don who is a dealer.

you can also take a look at phoenix gold XENON.

Diamond Audio D6 comps do well,but youll need more than 65w

take a look at phoenix gold XENON.

I have them, and they kicked the crap out of my infinitys I used to have. Not even in the same league. Definately something to look into, and they arent very expensive.

i got a really good deal on a set of phoenix gold octanes so i jumped on that. thanks to all that helped that being well everyone in this thread but jmac.

How are they installed? IB? With deadening? Sealed to what Qtc?

:crap: The phoenix gold octanes arent going to be any better than the infinitys. I told you to look at the xenons, or perhaps the octane zrs. But the octanes are basicly the same as the infinity references, they are rather bright. I could have told u that but you didnt ask. o well:D maybe youll like them better......

i did get the zrs. the xenons needed more power than i had.

:) Ok then that explains it. You said you got some octanes. Theirs a big difference from the octanes to the octane zrs. pm me, and let me know how you like them when you get everything setup properly. To get the best out of them, or any component for that matter, deaden your doors.

yeah its gonna be a project, deadening, shaving the lock pins so they sit flush and some other stuff~ i hope these work better. anyone wanna buy a set of infinitys?? heh:naughty:
