Hey, I'm a big "Made in the USA" buff, and I was wondering if any head units were made in the US.

Pioneer? Are they any good? Seems like a lot of people like eclipse but I'm sure that's not USA made.

Not really a limitation, just a preference.

eclispe isnt made in the usa. i believe they are out of japan. correct me if i'm wrong. look into denon. i know it is a prejudice statement, but it is the only name i can think of that sounds like it might be out of the usa, but i doubt it. call me a prejudice stereo *******, but that is what it sounds like.

"DENON is recognized internationally as Japan's leading manufacturer of high-quality audio and audio-visual products, and is the only company in the industry involved in the development and production of both hardware and software." taken from Denon's website.

I really dont think anything good (as far as Audio Head Units)is made in the USA. Anything that was made here that was good was bought and moved to another country. I think the last HU made here that were good were soundstream cassette players a LONG time ago.

Hey, I found a head unit that I like... or at least I think I like it. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-XyDY37m7WvU/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&I=257KDAVX1 here it is. Does anybody know about hooking that up to the existing mach 460 system? On the crutchfield site it says I need to change my stock amps, but I believe there is a way around it. That head unit looks awesome. I would be able to add lcd monitors to different areas of my car with it.

go to stangnet.com and ask them there. i am sure alot of them are replacing mach head units with afternarket.
