not just talk (with pics) kicker box not complete

okay maybe some of you remember this thread I started awhile back http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=103738&highlight=kicker+L7+real+deal

Anyway, I decided to go with an atomic 15" apx (monster of a sub btw) but I also decided to have pete @ teamtoxicbass design me a 6th order, SERIES tuned b/p for 2 L7 10's

I ordered my 2 L7's today from the website in the above link based on what polecat mentioned

NO i did NOT build it but I'm soo proud cause it's looking good and taking shape

Also in the above link you'll see the graph of how the 2 L7's in the series tuned 6th order will perform against the apx 15... blue line is the apx and the pink(ish) line is the 2 L7 10's :eek: :eek:

The box is not quite finished yet, but as it gets closer I'll post more pics, DAYUM I wish I could build a box like that anyway this setup should be LOUD!

Well I don't have box for it yet, but lets just say it is one mean looking sub.

I took it to a shop who tried to convience me it was broken. (because it was soooooo stiff) Anyway, I wired it up free air to my brutus 1605d amp and went through some bass tracks, and it laughed. Barely moved.

It took alittle while for it to arrive to me, so my friend started the above box... Based on the designer he said the 2 L7 10's in the above box will spank the apx in 4.5^3 tuned to 38 hz.. :eek: on 1600 AND 2500 watts...

I like my apx though and I'm looking at getting 1 more :D

what did he use to cut the kicker logo out? he must have an amazingly steady hand if it was a jigsaw cus those cuts look perfect.

YES free hand my friend said

"I cut the letters out free hand using a band saw. Then the round parts of the R I used a scroll saw. The C I cut with the band saw and rounded the outside with a disc sander and the inside with a drum sander "

Also here are acouple of more pictures, he's painted the box interior on the inside blue, and the rest of the box will be black bedliner type stuff....

im sure you have skills, bow staff skills and nun-chuck skills



no but to make a logo, just print out a blown up version, trace it on to the mdf and cut it with a jigsaw, if you take your time jig saws are very accurate
for logos also
