I have a Geo Tracker 93, so you know that the car is very small. I already bought a headunit a pioneer DEH-P3700.

(A)What i had in mind is buying some 6X9's Type R's 05 Alpines, And buy a 2 channel Amp so i can get the good sound.(Any reccomendations?)

(B) Buy alpines 6'9s , with a phoenix 6.5 compenents. (i know i wont have full power form the HU..) so iam not sure.

I dont even know what I'am saying. :crying:

any good speakers with the HU i bought, would be great. a budget of around 220 for speakers.

(A) 6x9 front or rear?
(B) 6x9 front or rear and 6.5 front or rear?

just wondering...cuz if you are short on cash then Id upgrade the fronts first since thats what you will hear the most...

with that small of a car. id just get some really nice front componets, and a 2 chan, to power them. no 6x9s

For the rear, Its the only place i have place for them. The care is really small so the 6x9s would be like pointing to my ears if i place them there, that is why i consider them with an amp.

THE Front already have some sony xplods. Good highs.. (you can tell am not that picky by sayin that ) :p:

EDIT: AZbass.

Are you sayin that i should get some good 6.5 speakers components and a nice amp.

Can that provide some good bass? I really like listeing to Reggaeton music :up2somet:

Yea, I'am latino.

Well at least you know what reggaeton sounds like , with the gasolina song.

Do you have any reccomendations for speakers?

as you can hear, reggaeton really has that repeating bass, i want that to sound good and clear, not rattle. :yumyum:

flakko
07-23-2005, 02:19 AM
hehe for speakers, just up front 220 limit, i would look into some rainbows, or DLS, or CDT.

Initally i was thinking of buying the subs first with an amp.. But with no other smaller speakers (just the xplods) again within the 200 dollar range.

but i dont think it would sound to good, then again am not sure on it.

negativezeroz
07-23-2005, 02:25 AM
well get a nice pair of comps for front and an amp then save get a single 10 or 12 and u should be set..:imo:

flakko
07-23-2005, 02:27 AM
yes. comps, 12/10" sub amp maybe a 3/4 channel amp so you wont have to waste moeny on 2 amps :)

lllusion
07-23-2005, 02:29 AM
Alright guys thanks for the fast replys and reccomendations.

From what i gather, i will go look around at EBAY for some good Front Components 6.5 with a amp to power there RMS

azbass
07-23-2005, 02:29 AM
yeah get a 4ch amp so you can run the fronts, and a sub.

negativezeroz
07-23-2005, 02:30 AM
when you find something on eBay post 'er on here before you buy...

flakko
07-23-2005, 02:31 AM
yea... we don want you buying crap.

lllusion
07-23-2005, 02:31 AM
ah , even better .. I will look for a 3/4 channel amp.

setup-
front speakers components
3/4 amp enough for the rms of the speakers
Future-
Subwoofer

This makes since, the car is so small thats why.

edit: i will report back on what ii can buy :D

negativezeroz
07-23-2005, 02:33 AM
Yeah I only have room for a W10GTi ( 1.75ft^3 @ 27) and my amp..I cant upgrade my front/rears cuz of parental unit..and getting a new car in May...

flakko
07-23-2005, 02:33 AM
well for the 3 or4 channel amp (thast wat the 3/4 means, its not acutally an amp type :)) use 2 channels for the comps and use the xtra 1 or 2 channels for the sub

negativezeroz
07-23-2005, 02:41 AM
or bridge the remaining two ch's and give sub more power

AndyB
07-23-2005, 02:41 AM
yea... a geo is like a metal box on wheels... so a 10" would do you justice. You get a decent 12" or more in there, and your going to be experincing the rattling that you stated you wish not to have. IMO... in that car, anymore than a 10 is way too much. If it were me.. i would get some nice speakers all around... brands stated above, then get an amp to power them. I wouldnt worry about subs that much. Not being an ***, or implying, but i would just save up to get a bigger/nicer car to put bigger/nicer equipment into. GL

Sorry but cmon dude a sub that will pound pretty good wil only cost you a good 60 bucks! (RE10) www.reaudio.com heck maybe even the EU-700 www.elementaldesigns.com its a small 6.5" sub/midbass.

flakko

AndyB
07-23-2005, 02:45 AM
flakko... your right... But thats just IMO, what i would do. He could do that, and that would also be another option for him. RLi-8 would be nice... but not in the $60 range. What are they going for... around 100 or so? Yea, RE 10 would be a nice choice if you do decide to go that route. Not much of a power hog.. but will wang with the right stuff hooked up to it. Not too pricey either. Probably around $120 shipped?? Correct me if im wrong.

well i tought i would update you guys, i wish i had my camera with me(its at the sis).
But i have installed the amplifier under the drivers seat with all the cables going there, and running the rcas opposite seat coming back to the amplifier. ( I have not tested it yet)

I took off the seats, so i can get under the carpet, vaccumed it of course too :).
i got them seats in my living room. its a mess.
I got the sub and box. 12 inch sub (kicker c12) (qlogic type 1 sealed)
I have not received my DIAMOND audio components 6 1/2 yet.( i got them but i had to return them they gave me the 5 1/2 ( so now i have to wait an extra week)
Plan on installing them in the door panels along with the tweeters.

I have to rebuild the rear panels, almost done too just need to glue up the skin to it.(it so soft OMG) I was thinking of installing the components hear. But then i wont have front stage so meh.

I will try to get pics of it soon when i get my cam back
