Nice - I was going to go for the aluminum cone Daytons, but I went for something a little different. Let us know how they sound :)

Probably around $20 like you said.

The components needed for my crossovers were around $70 ... but keep in mind I have two of everything because there are two towers.

I got a little bit of a deal, so it wasn't that much. And that's without copper foil inductors.

straight from the receipt:

2 027-402 DAYTON .22uF-250V POLYPROPYLENE CAPACITOR $0.78
2 027-404 DAYTON .33uF-250V POLYPROPYLENE CAPACITOR $0.79
2 027-418 DAYTON 3.0uF-250V POLYPROPYLENE CAPACITOR $1.67
2 027-421 DAYTON 4.0uF-250V POLYPROPYLENE CAPACITOR $1.85
2 255-408 JANTZEN .47mH 15 GA AIR CORE INDUCTOR $4.28
2 255-412 JANTZEN .60mH 15 GA AIR CORE INDUCTOR $4.98

the numbers are per each, so the coils themselves were around 20 so total parts for the xovers was around 30 bucks. not bad at all actually considering u can only get so much from a premade one and they usually charge u out the **** for a decent 2nd or 3rd order

crossover's are extremly easy to build but a ***** to make pretty lol. i made some for my h/t bookshelf's that were fugly like lemans' but they got the job done, switched out my 6ohm yamaha's to 8ohm css's and well the crossover's were switched again. the fugly crossover i spent like 3 hours making pertty then threw it away sad huh?

Just looks like regular PC board material. Nothing fancy at all.

Radioshack sells it, and I know PE does.
