Bi-amplification... what's the problem with it?

i heard on this forum that bi amplification had some problems and that it was not advized... is it real or not?

i was running my component kits using the crossovers of the kit, but now i use my alpine head unit on 3 way mode connecting the front outs to the chanels 1 and 2 of the amp (that connects to the speakers) and the rear outs to the channels 3 and 4 of it (that goes to the mid-woofers)... i think it sounds much better than it sounded with the speakers crossovers...

what's the big deal with it? i have an active crossover even for my speakers now... much better isnt it? :(

If you're using Class A/B amplification, you won't lose anything.

Sounds like that was a problem specific to that person (i.e. there was a problem with their setup/equipment).

Is it not a waste of time though?, I mean does it really make that much of a difference to bother?.
