View Full Version : How the phook to get Kenwood KDC-X789 out of Demo

I just installed my new Kenwood KDC-X789 but I cannot get it out of demonstration mode! The manual makes it sound very simple, but the instructions just don't work. Anyone have this HU or a similar Kenwood HU?

While in standby mode press and hold menu, a menu will come up where you can access the clock and other functions.
Scroll though using the up down motions on the left hand knob, when you get to "demo mode" press and hold the left hand knob directly in (not up or down) another menu will appear where you can flick it on or off using the left hand knob.
Done.
