i was thinking about getting a Alpine Hu9853 9855 but i've seen alot of people that have problems with them and being the "first batch" i might get screwed. Anyways i was looking for other Hu and i came across Kenwoods new 25th anniversary Hu and man does it look good.

Do anyone have the Kenwood XXV-01D and reviews about them i would love to hear your input thanks

while i dont have the xxv-01d i do have the xxv-05v which is the 25th anniversary monitor unit, pretty much a 915 with a few extra quricks and i love it. all the 25th anniversary items look pretty nice for kenwood.

yeah it was a good chunk of dough, got it for $1550 on ebay. the thing i like about it the most is the built in tv tuner. I work on sundays and never got to watch football games, now i can watch them on my breaks at work...lol. Its also easy as hell to bypass so you can watch tv and dvds while your driving. just permanently wire the green parking brake wire to ground and you're good to go....
and i'd definitely put a monitor in the nova, pimp that shlt out man...lol.

I personally don't like kenwood. It's a pain in the butt to get through some of the menus. Just starts to frustrate me when I try adjust kenwoods. Pioneer and Alpine I like more.

so where the review?? please do tell

can you banpass on the middle rca ( when running three way mode)

thats was the only thing stopping me from trying one out

that and the lack of a true 6 ch independent TA

I'm pretty sure it won't do bandpass. I normally look for that, but I'm biamping my Z6's using the passives and it sounds great to me. :)

I should have mine in tomorrow, and I'll do a full system review on ECA sometime over the weekend.
