powered by JBL PX 600.2 180X2 at 4 ohm. i want my front to be bold and clear with good respond with out getting distortion from all the power they are receiving.

I'd personally go with the Pro's. I really liked the set I had.....and they'll soak up that power without even batting an eye. I had a 400w x 2 @ 4ohm amp running mine.

can't comment on the cdts. however, i'm currently running the pro60's off a memphis mc300 and couldn't be happier. had to attenuate the tweets by 4dbs on the crossover though, was way too bright at flat and just a tad too bright for my tastes at -2db. it all depends on the install though anyway.

I've heard both in good setups, I didn't think the Z6's were worth the extra money. They did sound better, but not for the price point. I really can't see you being disappointed.

And you's would be correct :D

It was an Eclipse 34230 (excellent, excellent amp, btw). Rated 370w x 2 @ 4ohm...will actually do right around 400w x 2 @ 4ohm. I really want to buy it back from my buddy I sold it too...... :( Hopefully he'll let it go, since he's going to college and will be broke for the next 2 years, and he's not currently using it.

hmm not the debate is if i want to stick with the pros or drop almost twice as much for the Z's and are the Z's worth the extra money

Heh.....depends on how much money you want to spend. You can get the Pro' to sound very, very nice......but, if you do have the money to spend, I'd get the Z's. However, that's only if you really have the money to spend. Otherwise I'd be happy with the Pro's

to tell you the truth i heard them both yesterday and the Pro's sounded a bit more crisp. and i think i could con my parents into the Z's being a 'birthday' present
