from what I've gathered from users is that Midrange/highs are unparalleled in comparo to conventional tweets in terms of output

really good imaging straight outta the box.
theyre really efficient and deafening.
their midrange is pretty killer too.
horns are generally a love or hate relationship and require tuning.

Plus it pushes the crossover point down out of the critical midrange region, so that they are played by a single point source. Horns will play the entire frequency range ~1khz and up.

And, like you said....people either love 'em or hate 'em. Me? I love 'em :D Listened to Mudvayne today, and was quite dissappointed.......... (my horns are currently uninstalled).

Oh yeah...and, while their efficiency and output is nice, it also causes problems matching them up to mids. You either need very stout midbass drivers, or you need to choke the horn down a TON to level match them properly.
