Mmmmm! Nice and beefy..

What's the mounting depth on them? Also, are these the speakers with the tweeter built-in where the dust cap should be? :)

yup a point syncronous speaker. its about 2.5" mounting depth. just a hair over. you can remove the tweeter but since they are going into kicks they are staying put.

Are these going to be matched up with a pair of midbasses in your doors, or are they going solo; with a sub(s) handling the low stuff?

audiolife

going solo into some tuned kicks

Ok, so how do you go about tuning kicks? After you make 'em, do you fill them up with fluid, pour it out, and then measure that amount? :emb:

lol just done it (more so been around it) before. that perfect 40 car had a set of oz co ax moutable 6.5"s that would run 20-20k as those were the only speakers turned on in the whole car (the year after it did the perfect 40) and another guy used the aria (which these are basically just a few minor improvements with the cone. aria were fultron which fultron is now memphis). he won back too back iasca finals with them.iirchis ran from 40-45 ish to 20k maybe as high as 50 hz. they are a pretty dry nuetral speaker sq wise. im an imaging nut is the reason why i got them. its alot easier for me to tune when everything sounds like its in the right place.

yuh i been around it awhile ask a few people about it that were around then they could tell you about that car. it was either called the biggest cheater car ever or the greatest thing since swiss cheese

Schuey2002
06-12-2005, 06:26 PM
What would make it a "cheater car"? By having subs hidden somewhere inside that nobody knew about?

audiolife
06-12-2005, 07:38 PM
no no front seats dash moved to the roof and the steering wheel coming out of the middle of the floor with all sound processing hid in the "sun roof" lol. take the last 2 alpine cars take away the fiberglass replace it with tweed and plexiglass have room for 2 instead of one and take away the alpines motorization and technically you would almost have the same style except for 10 year or so diff when they were done so installs would be different of course
