Well I have been using my Klipsch Promedias for over 5 years on my PC and they have worked great for me. But I'm bored today so I decided to hook my PC up to my old *** HT setup. This means I have to move some stuff around!

Nothing too interesting here.... gonna make a short pR0n vid. when I'm done :p:

All done.....

What did I learn from this.....

1. My old Cerwins sound like crap. My ears like higher quality than this now.
2. MP3's still sound like *** in the real world.
3. My place is dirty.

So now I think I'm gonna do a sub-par DIY on the Cirwins and replace all of the drivers. It won't be ideal but I best I can get them to sound half way decent. That'll have to be my next work log :p:

does it take much of a driver to have a nice HT? when i move i wanna do something of that sort, maybe some Rl-i 8's? if i did 2 wih a like 400 watt plate amp would i be sufficeable for a decent start to an HT? (sub stage anyways)

That is 20" of power my friend. College = small tv cause the 32" I had was a ***** to move every year or two.

Sure an RL-i 8 would work, you don't need the output on HT as much as just getting the reproduction of the freq. w/ flat response.

i wouldn;t use plexi glass, Plexi will none the less bend. Unless your getting like a half inche thick Lexan, thats different. Otherwise get a glass top :D

Cost would be the only thing bad about the Plexi top...if it's 1/2" or 3/4" thick, and braced to the folds of the TL, that top won't budge...

Ok well I did some calculations and it appears that I have a 12" sub in a bass reflex enclosure tuned to 55hx (?!?!). I have about 15.cu.ft. to play with too, so that's decent for HT use.

The Mids are 5" so it'll take some work to get the right ones there.

As for the x-overs, I think I'm going to just see how the original CV one's work out, thus saving that as a last project (unless I get really lucky).
