I tried Autozones web site to see if I could find out. No luck. I have never actually bought any from them before. You might also check your yellow pages for auto paint and supply places.

:werd:
The cheapest resin I could find at Napa was $36 gallon.
On that site, the cheap stuff was $17.50 a gallon.
As long as shipping is less that $18.50 per gallon you are doing good.
**** skippy.
i might buy 5 gallons.
because a gallon goes quick, and so does $35 after tax each

Doesnt resin and hardner have a shelf life. Id prefer to get it from like Uscomposits or selectproducts.com because from them it will be better resin that should be fresh or atleast fresh-er.

yeah HD resin is $32.97 I think and you usually have to buy at least 1 tube of extra hardener, which is like $3.97 and the mat is $5.97.
They like the .97!
Expensive as hell, adds up so fast, brushes, mat, resin/hardener, masks, gloves, ****...

I noticed on the uscomposites site that the cheap stuff is not for structural application.....I am going to be running 2 DD9515's with 2500 wrms to each, don't I want it for structural application??? Maybe I am thinking of it wrong, but am I on to something?
EB General Purpose Polyester Resin
Non-spec, general purpose resin for repairs and construction. Color, curing times and workability can vary batch to batch.
NOT for use in any structural application.
Color: Dark Brown/Green

Yo req, I'm looking to do a bunch of fiberglassing in the next month, gonna do a 10 cubic ft - 15 cubic ft box in my trunk for an 18", then re-do my entire dash...would those supplies be enough for like 30 square feet of fiberglass...+ ??? layers.
So once I get the money, could you hook me up with all you resources and links for the materials I need?
I'm gonna need your help with this, so expect me to have a ton of post on this forum...lol.

I use a gallon of resin every 2 door panels. A half gallon per box at 2 cuft. 3/4 gallon per dash. Those are rough. Sometimes it can go more when I do my milkshake batter.
the 'structural' is like a boat hull, or somthing like that.
if you are doing somthinlg like a DD box with a huge port, as long as you put enough layers down and brace it like you should, there should be no problems. it wont be a boat hull if you know what i mean.
resin goes quick. and we are putting 7~10 layers on (for a box) and it gets nice and strong. but IIRC - bondo brand resin frmo pepboys is 'general purpose' resin - just like that stuff.
so dont worry about it.
