I need help, if someone can that would be great. My boyfriend and I are looking at getting a Eclipse CD5444 and an Ipod but before we do I want to know if your able to use line in/line out feeds from the back of the head unit or something similar to run the music from the ipod through the unit instead of using the connections apple have to transmit it through the radio waves as that is difficult to maintain a steady feed.

It does. So adding the ipod would be easy.

yea. alpines have a ACC input (accessory)

just get one of these cables,

and plug it into the back of your headunit. my brother has a CD5444 and he is using his MP3 player this way. IIRC, it MIGHT just have a 3.5MM jack input ON the actual headunit. if thats the case, just get one of these

but i forget if its phono (RCA) jacks, or a standard 3.5mm headphone jack on the HU. oh well :p:

make sure you find out (get the unit) before you buy the cord. get the cord at radioshack for like $5

and wow, this is a deal!
