Please Check My Dimensions!

Hey guys! What's going on?

Well, I have decided that I want to build a ported box for my 2005 12" Kicker CompVR. I used George's Tutorial (http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=74715) and this is what I got. Please check my dimensions and tell me what you think.

It is supposed to be 2.0 cf after displacement (if you need it, my subs displacement is .07 cf) tuned to 32 hz.

External Dimensions are: 14" high x 28" wide x 17.5" deep
Port will be 12.5" x 3" = 37.5 in^2 port area
Port Wall 1: 13.75"
Port Wall2: 25"

This means that for my cuts I need:
TOP: 28" x 17.5"
BOTTOM: 28" x 17.5"
SIDES: 2 x (12.5" x 17.5")
BACK: 26.5" x 12.5"
FRONT: 22.75" x 12.5"
PORT WALL ONE: 13.75" x 12.5"
PORT WALL TWO: 25" x 12.5"

Does this all seem right?

Did a little calculating, looks right to me, may not be exact but you would'nt notice the little differance.

Just talked to someone and they said it comes out closer to 2.5 cf...

Can someone else check this for me?

gross total is 3.067
minus sub is 2.997
If you take out the port area you have 1.995
that's 13x25x14=1.995

wait looking at the pic. and correct me if i'm wrong. your 25" port wall cant be that long. your overall is 28. The pic show the inside dimension of the port wall to be 25". with an overall of 28 there has to be an opening at the other end
Your overall would have to be 31". Look at the pic you'll see what I mean..

Turns out that with my original plans, i was ending up with around 1.8 cf after displacement...

After having a long discussion with Moe Lester (thanks so much), I have a new design. It is 2.08 cf after displacement tuned to 34 hz.
