just wondering, this is my first box that i want ot build and its going to be pretty big. its for 4 subs and the slot port is so long it takes 3 port walls. now on EACH end of each port wall, am i supposed to sand the edges rounding them out?? alsom the slot port looks like a maze design. is there a specail name you call this type of port other than a slot port? just wonderin. and please no jokes. its a newbie question. thx!

its called a labrynth port. make sure you are properly calcualting the port. and yes, rounding the port edges will help air flow and decrease port noise.

well i read that at the END of the port IN the box, that the space must be 1 and a half the width. is this true? for example: my port width is 2". so everything should be spaced out 2" evenly, EXCEPT at the end closest to the wall. it should be 3". is this right? if it is, wouldnt that affect your tuning my taking away from the ACTUAL port lenth by an inch ??
hope that clear!
