power acoustik good are bad amps

im looking at getting a 1200 watt amps by them called the gothic series are any good and do the do the job.

no, don't get a pa amp, i hated my gothic, draws too much current for output and blew within a year of playing(no i didn't have the gain up high, i had it at a quarter). besides, they usually never put out 1200 watts, thats peak power, just like my gothic 840 watt, it only put out 500 watts rms at 4 ohm mono.

yea it does, get a jbl 600.1 or a jbl 1200.1, the 600 is less than 200 and the 1200 can be had for less than 300. I would strongly suggest going for these amps instead of a power acoustik.

never had any problem with ANY amp I use. I think people blow these type of amps cause they are starter amps and people don't understand what they are doing OR driving them too hard cause they cann't afford a more powerful amp.
