    Re: PG xenon 100.2

I run a similar set of comps and before I had 100 watts going to them from an Orion amp and the tweeter kept on cutting out and it sounded "ok". Then I got that PG xenon 100.2 and they sound great, the tweeter does not cut out and everything seems more "filling". They are a littel underated, my birthsheet said it put out 272 watts bridged when it was sposed to only put out 200 watts. The one thing I like the most is it will not clip, being that when I firts installed it I had the gain too low and it was not getting enough volume out of it and I turned up the gain too high and I would turn my headunit up to the point where it would start to clip like at #25 and would not get any louder. I would turn the HeadUnit from #25+ and would stay the same volume #25-35 and the amp still played clear and loud but would never distort or clip in anyway. I did set the gain the right way BTW, so you turds dont yell at me for having the gain up too high. But I like the amp but I need more powor!!!

The fan in it is noisy and it is a little bigger that I am used to.

Just do it. PG Xenon new line are getting better reviews from people that have opened up to them.Yes they are made out of the country but if they were made here in the great USA you would be paying Double. They are Loud and Clear!!!!!!!

    Re: PG xenon 100.2

They are made by the same company in China that makes JL Audio amps (hence the simularities with the 1-4ohm same power ratings) but over at PG message board one of the PG techs stated the Xenons arent as tightly regulated to allow more dynamic power than the JL's (which allegedly are so tightly regulated to achieve the 1-4ohm rating without overheating that they dont allow much headroom for peaks). You have people who will swear by the JL amps when they could be getting basically the same thing with more headroom and a fan for less. I'd still take my titanium though, since they've been discontinued they are finally reasonably priced.
