1 Amp for both front speakers and sub????Bad Idea???
To all you experts....
Is it a bad idea to use one sub to power both front speakers and a sub? I have heard in the past this was not a good idea but I don't know why.
If I got a 4 channel Hifonic or similar mid-level amp and used two channels for the fronts and bridge 2 for the sub do you think it would work??? Just looking for a way to save some money...

you can do it, look into a larger 4 channel, like the Orion 8004 or RF8004

Absolutely nothing wrong with doing it that way. Look into this amp aswell: http://www.cardomain.com/item/KIC04KX65042 - Will likely be the best you find for that price.

Thanks for the advice! Will there be any reduction in sound quality? I am assuming you can set the high pass/low pass stuff on each channel. If not could this be a problem? :titanic:

true, a good four channel or even a 3 channel amp will work. There are some with class D on the subs, A/B for the front....I'm running a five channel doing all the system...
