DHD and Performance Teknique amps

R the DHD and Performance Teknique amps good?

A guy from a sound shop near by said that these amps r better then RF, pioneer, alpine, audiobahn, kicker, kenwood amps

The DHD amps are not a good buy. High distortion levels and rated power isnt correct. cheap internal compnents as well.. they've been known to release the magic smoke pretty quickly.

As far as perfromance teknique.. they make decent amps. nothing to write home about, but they're ok.

That said.. you could do better.

I wouldnt say smokey because i have a dhd amp running my interiors and have been working pretty good... except for the alternator whine ive been getting.

might not be alternator whine buddy. i had an amp hooked to my frontstage once and i had 'alt whine' over the speakers. for the life of me i couldnt figure out what it was.


it was the amp being broken. eventually, it just stopped working. well - thad explain why it wouldnt power my crappy subs before. go figure.

Nope wasnt the amp man.... The first time the guy installed it.. it was already whining. Since i was a newbie before, i thought it was normal. When i take the rca jacks out of the amp the whining stops.. so i dunno what to do :/
