Anybody have any experience with the Directed Audio 1500d amp?

Anybody have any experience with the Directed Audio 1500d amp? If so, i would like to have some reviews on it. And maybe some pics of the amp...specifically the side views...i cant find any pics of it except front view. Thx

A friend of mine have one powering two 12" DB DRIVE subs on a ported enclosure, I don't know to how many ohms he have it wired, but it makes those subs pound, I was very impressed .

BTW anybody else have any experience with those DB DRIVE subs, they sound pretty good to me.

alot of heads over at www.termpro.com are big users of the DEI stuff(directed, orion, viper...) You could get more feedback from actual users there

I have a question regarding DEI and VIPER amps, why is there damp factor so low?
They have damping factors of like 50 when other brands are more than 100, 200 and more.
I saw a post of an Eclipse amp with a damping factor of 1000
To my understanding bigger damping factor is better when talking of sub amps.
Am I wright or wrong, somebody can explain this to me please.

I buy amps with high damping factors....how important the spec is, is how much importance 'YOU' give it......well built a/b amps basically have a better ability to control speaker behaviours that affect the amplifier and its signal
Some people disregard the spec, I use it as one of many buying factors...


Read up on it and see if its something important to your buying decision...
