    Icon32 3 HE2's and a Punch 800a4???

I just got three RF HE2. I am wondering if I can somehow safely hook up my RF Punch 800a4 to them. I believe this amp is only 2ohm stable so I don't think that I can bridge two channels together and run it to one set of coils while I do the same tro the other side.

If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free.

(Otherwise I'll just continue using the Punch 200ix to run the three but I wass looking for a little more power. If I could use the 800 for the subs I was going to use the 200 for the MB's.)

Well, with three 4 ohm dvc's you don't have many options. The "best" load you can make for your situation would be series/parallel, ending up with 2.67 ohms mono. I'm not sure if I would run the 800a2 that low or not.....probably not. Just curious...how do you have the 200ix running them now?

I have the Punch 200ix wired in parallel (1.33 ohms) to the three Crunch Pros. (The ones in my profile). I have had this set up for about four years and I've had no problems. But I think I have just been lucky. I would like to see if the 800a4 would handle the load but then I might not be as lucky. If it worked, I think it would sound pretty good.

Only one way to find out. ;-)

hey i have a question for all of you.

alright i wanna get 2 boston acoustics 12.5LF's and for the amp i wana get 2 pheonix gold titanium 800.1 amps. my question is would one of thoes bostons be able to handle 1000 watts rms??? or what other amps could i use. also if i had the gain on the amp set very low would that make it so the boston could handle it? thank you very much

Boy you have been pushing your 200ix:p 1.33 mono is quite a load for that amp. If you do decide to try the 800a2 on the He's just monitor it to see if it is getting too hot. If it stays relatively cool, then I guess you will be ok. You could always put a fan or two on it if it does run a litlle warm.
