The Crunch 50HC. Works great shiny clean....

    specs below:

    100 x 1 watts @ 4 ohms RMS
    200 x 1 watts @ 2 ohms RMS
    400 x 1 watts @ 1 ohm RMS

Crunch 50HC. An amp from Crunch's hey day. It was manufactured Janurary 1992 by Zed Audio in Simi Valley California. Crunch at the time was based out of Dothan, Alabama. All power ratings are at 12 volts.Ā*The amp weighs 11.2 pounds and it's dimensions areĀ*15.75 x 8.83 x 2.59. This amp contains a regulated power supply.

This one has an optional crossover module attached as well with a 18db bass boost @ 45hz .

Re: How much would You pay for this amp?

if it only puts out 50 x2 wrms @ 2 ohms, at 4 ohms which is what most speakers are, it would only be like 25 wrms, which is pretty much what my headunit puts out. so in other words, it's worthless.

i doubt the amp puts out that much power at 1 ohm, nor do i believe it is really stable at 1 ohm bridged.

IIRC, he designs Zapco, old school Hifonics and a lot of other high end electronics too!

It was a tank in '92, but these days - I dunno -- $60? $80 maybe to the right buyer.
