    Amp not turning on

I had to change the wiring on my subs and add speakers. Now that i did this the amp will power up sometimes but most of the time it wont even turn on. It will usually flicker on when i start the car but sometimes it will never come on or it will play for a little while while im driving then cut out again. What could be the problem because all of the wires seem to be connected and the fuse is not blown?

    Re: Amp not turning on

sounds like a loose wire i would check your remote and power wire again then make sure the fuses are fully seated.

    Re: Amp not turning on

Two rockford fosgate p3 dual 4 ohms wired to 1 ohm on a hifonics 100d amp. The wiring to the head unit is fine because i did not change that when i redid the wiring of the subs. The only thing i changed was the wiring on the subs.

    Re: Amp not turning on

Maybe the remote wire got pinched. My friend had that happen a few times. Run a wire from the battery to the amps turn on and see if it turns on, if it does I would just put a new wire in for the turn on and see if that work. Just a thought

    Re: Amp not turning on

Are you saying to only run the wir from the battery to the amp and take off the rest off the wires?

    Re: Amp not turning on

no he is saying run a wire from the battery's positive terminal to your amps remote input instead of the one coming from your cd player to see if that is the problem
