Icon7 Can someone Help? Sub/Amp Question...

I have two DVC 12" Pioneer Premiers and need a quality Amp to push them. My current 4CH Amp just doesn't cut it. (Yea I know, I need a separate Amp for my Subs)

The Subs are around 750Watt RMS each so I need something pretty strong in an Amp to really bring out the performance in these Subs. I have them in a sealed, ported box BTW.

My price range is around $200-$250. I don't know if I should go with a 2CH Amp or Mono? My Subs are 4ohms. I am looking for an Amp that would give me those most output for the money. I am running these Subs in a series because they are DVC and want to bridge them to the future Amp.

Thanks for any advice on some good Amps.

    HU ~ Panasonic MXE CQ-C5410U (3)5V Outputs
    Fronts ~ Panasonic CJ-DD163 6.5"
    Subs ~ (2) 12" Pioneer Premier TS-W2000SPL
    Amp ~ Legacy 4-CH LA1095

Something like these maybe? Or would a Mono be better for my setup?

Re: Can someone Help? Sub/Amp Question...

You relize both of those amps only put out about 700watts rms right?

depending on your vc configuration why not just get a brutus 1500... and wire your subs to 1ohm and get 750 to each.

how about a Kicker KX12001, will do 700-800 per sub and can get for around $280 shipped.

i'm thinking that your best bet would be going for a mono amp all the way and depending on your configuration, i'd try the hifonics bx1500d amp ... i have yet to own hifonics but i am getting a bx1500d amp of my own

Re: Can someone Help? Sub/Amp Question...

how do you have a "sealed, ported box"?

    anywho.

if your box is PORTED. they dont need the full 750rms. in fact. i bet they might break with that (depending on the ft^3)... but get a mono class D, it will be most efficent, and they sometimes have 2 channels on them to make it for an easy install. the hifnoics 1500d should work quite well. and it will pound the HELL out of those speakers. hook them into 1 ohm.
