I am very happy with both my 300/4 which is factory refurbished and my 500/1. The JL amps are expensive but they are reliable(wow bad spelling). They are tightly regulated though so they put out what they say at all ohm levels so dont expect to get much more than what they are rated at.

You can beat them to hell and they won't die ... good amps in my opinion. If you like them and have the cash for them, hey, why not.

Very flexible, they're like PG amps in the fact that they can be run at varying ohm loads and still output rated power...

See, I don't like that feature. I want to be able to drop the load and get more power. But, I guess it comes down to preference.

    That amp DOES do that

    It'll do 1200rms @ 4-2ohms.

The more you drop the resistance, the more power it'll create though

    1200rms is the min. wattage.(non 8ohm)

Some do in the upwards 1500rms range.

Hmmm the tantrum 1200.1 does 1200@2ohm and 1400@4ohm, last time i checked that wasnt the same power at different ohm loads.
